On May 20, fromis_9’s new agency ASND announced, “We have confirmed a new release from fromis_9 in June. We are preparing new music with summer vibes that captures fromis_9’s unique charms. Please anticipate it a lot.”

This will mark fromis_9’s first comeback in six months since the release of their special single “from” in December as well as their first new release after parting ways with PLEDIS Entertainment and signing exclusive contracts with ASND. Harper’s Bazaar: Ahead of your comeback, what new attempts have you challenged yourselves with?

Hayoung: Every part of the process was a new challenge in itself. I didn’t want to make the absence of the former members felt, and I thought a lot about wanting the stage to look full. With the departure of three members, my parts also increased, so I felt I needed to concentrate more on stage. Also, I tried a new hairstyle for the first time during the music video shoot. Since my debut, I’ve found it a bit difficult to try various styles, so I hope the fans will like it.

Harper’s Bazaar: To maknae Jiheon, what are the members like?

Jiheon: During our quite long hiatus, I really wanted to be on stage. When I think of the members, I don’t want to part ways. The reason I chose this path again, at a time when we were all contemplating which way to go, was because I still wanted to create stages with the members and flovers. I thought I would have too many regrets if we couldn’t be together. I want to enjoy being on stage for as long as we can.
